My name is Father Barnabas Kyeah. I come from Ghana and belong to the Catholic Diocese of Wiawso in Ghana. I was born in SefwiBoako in the western region of Ghana. I have two brothers and two sisters and I am the second born. I attended school at both St. Paul’s (Accra) and St. Peter’s (Pedu), major seminaries in Ghana. I have degrees in Sociology, Studies in Religions and Business Administration.
My grandparents and parents are all Catholics, so I was born into a very Catholic family. Two of my uncles are priests and another one is a Brother of the Holy Cross congregation. Fortunately, one of my uncles was my classmate so we were ordained on the same day. That is why I am saying that I was born into a very Catholic Family.
Being a priest is like a shepherd and a servant. As a shepherd and servant of God’s people, my responsibility is to sanctify, teach and lead (govern) the people that God has entrusted to my care. This, I cannot do alone without you, so let us all work together to build God’s Church. Please, pray for me that the Lord will give me the Grace that I will need to serve His people in this great parish.
I am looking forward to working with you to build God’s Church in Inez.
God Bless You, Fr. Barnabas Kyeah
