1. You must meet with Pastor or Associate Pastor before setting date or time of wedding. 2 P.M. is the latest time a wedding can be held due to Saturday evening Mass & confession schedule.
2. If you are inviting an outside priest to perform the ceremony, you must check with the Pastor at the time you book the wedding for St. Joseph Church.
3. Music selections must be cleared by the presiding priest prior to the rehearsal.
4. For inactive/non-contributing individuals & new members (for the previous 12 months) Church usage fee is $750.00 paid upon booking the church. Donation for the officiating priest is separate.
5. For those who are not registered contributing members of the parish: a. A wedding cannot be scheduled prior to six months of the wedding date to allow ample time for St. Joseph parishioners to have their choice of dates and times for their wedding.
6. Flower petals, rice or birdseed are not to be used inside the church or on the outside grounds of the church.
7. Only non-drip candles are allowed in the church and should especially be kept simple during the Lenten Season.
8. Floral arrangements should be in good taste.
9. “Choir Loft” is available for bride to make final preparations. A $100.00 deposit is required and will be returned if room is left tidy and void of any trash. (We can shred your check or return it.)
10. If you want to use the Parish Hall for the bride there is a separate rental/deposit fee. You must bring all items you will need with you.
11. Turn in the civil license at the wedding rehearsal. The license must be purchased at least 72 hours in advance of the wedding.
12. Couples are required to attend an Engagement Encounter Weekend. Due to the limited spacing available, please make arrangements as soon as possible after setting the wedding date. For information call 573-0828
13. The following guidelines concerning behavior and dress should be strictly adhered to: a. Respectful behavior and dress in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament is required at all times. b. No smoking or drinking on church property. c. Speak at a low voice level during the rehearsal and photo sessions.
14. Photographs are allowed during the ceremony. Please remind your photographer that this is a Church and respectful behavior is required at all times when pictures are being taken.
15. Approval of weddings planned/to be held during the Christmas and Easter season are at the discretion of the priest. If approved, you WILL NOT be allowed to make any changes to existing church decorations. The church will remain decorated as is in accordance with that particular season.
